Class is in Session

I talk a lot about the #actorslife here on the blog. Whether I’m sharing lessons learned through my own auditions and gigs, or tips gathered from peers and other folks around the industry, my hope is you walk away with actionable info as well as inspiration to help you take your career where you want it to go. And when there’s a topic that’s important, but not necessarily in my wheelhouse, I bring in experts to get us all up to speed.

Showbiz can sometimes feel a little isolating and overwhelming, and I want you to know I’m here for you on this crazy journey. I understand and I’ve got your back! As a fellow actor, I…

...experience the same nerves. Having a strategy ready helps you face that foe.

...take consistent actions as a career jumpstart. While there are some immediate, obvious benefits from things like taking class, sometimes it results in surprising opportunities.

...stay positive. I sincerely think positivity changes the world. This year, I am determined to say “yes” to things that may be outside of my comfort zone. And what’s coming next is a new opportunity I just had to say “YES” to.

I’ll be coaching professional child actors at MN Acting Studio!

I’ve been going to masterclasses at MN Acting Studio for about 3 years now. When I was looking around for a great on-camera acting class, it was on a list my manager recommended. After trying a class, I instantly felt at home. Being surrounded by amazingly talented and skilled actors makes me up my game. I feel challenged by the caliber of actors (you need to audition to get in the studio) and at the same time completely supported by everyone there.

I would only want to teach in a studio where there was a genuine concern for the student’s craft in a caring environment, so it felt like the perfect setting to begin something I had long been curious about: teaching! I wish I’d found a studio like this when I was a kid starting out, and I want to pay it forward to these young, professional actors at the beginning of their careers. Meanwhile, I can’t wait to see what I learn from them, too.

Know any child actors who might be a good fit? Class starts October 13!

Thank you so much for supporting my dreams and inspiring me every single day. Know you can count on me to cheer you on as you continue to achieve your goals.
